Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic/Machine Builder

Experience: 5 years

Job Summary: CAM Innovation, a manufacturer of high-quality machinery and tools used to produce and repair electric motors, generators and form coils, is seeking sales engineers. Our significant investment in developing new products continues to expand and grow our OEM and aftermarket opportunities. CAM partners with clients to provide machinery and engineering services that enable them to reduce production cost and cycle times, while improving process control, worker safety and product consistency.       

General

  • Assembles machines, equipment and their sub-assemblies
  • Understands overall machine design and purpose
  • Performs assembly in a proficient and safe manner

Mechanical Assembly

  • Assembles machines based on blueprints and written and verbal assembly procedures
  • Accurately levels machine base prior to assembly
  • Installs linear and circular bearings and ensures proper operation
  • Maintains close tolerances by using torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers and other precision measuring devices.
  • Removes small quantities of metal to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts
  • Drills, taps, and reams holes
  • Operates overhead cranes to position large components or work pieces

Equipment Operation

  • Operates equipment proficiently and safely
  • Prepares equipment for testing and inspection
  • Performs run-off tests for inspector

Troubleshooting

  • Diagnoses equipment problems, develops repair plans and repairs equipment
  • Operates electrical test equipment including multi-meters, RPM counters and sound meters

Installation Support

  • Domestic and foreign travel for set up and repair of machinery is required.
  • May be required to travel 5 to 10 % of time.

Electrical Assembly – Not required, but recommended

  • Wires machines to connect electrical components to the controls
  • Reads electrical diagrams and schematics and wires machine accordingly
  • Installs and calibrates precision fiber optic and laser sensors

Ability and experience in welding or machining is not required, but is a plus.

Job Title: Sales Engineers

CAM Innovation, a manufacturer of high-quality machinery and tools used to produce and repair electric motors, generators and form coils, is seeking sales engineers. Our significant investment in developing new products continues to expand and grow our OEM and aftermarket opportunities. CAM partners with clients to provide machinery and engineering services that enable them to reduce production cost and cycle times, while improving process control, worker safety and product consistency.       

You need to have industry knowledge, be resourceful in identifying new clients and products, while providing valuable support to our clients. Be ready to spend 25% of your time traveling domestically and overseas. Excellent written and spoken communication skills are required. The ability to occasionally present to clients whose second language is English is part of our work. Experience introducing capital equipment and engineering concepts to the electrical apparatus market is helpful.

Primary Responsibilities:

-          Identify and develop new Clients and Sales Representatives in the U.S. and in markets around the world.

-          Question Clients to understand their needs, write and submit proposals and negotiate final terms of sale.

-          Work initially with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure that they have all required information and/or samples.

-          Develop an understanding of the functions of our machines well enough to assist with basic troubleshooting and spare parts support on the phone, by email or in

person.

-          Work as part of a Sales Team to ensure that Clients are properly supported at all times.

-          Attend trade shows

-          Look for new product opportunities.

Job Requirements:

-          5+ years selling a technical, specialized product.

-          A personality that can build relationships with front line Machine Operators, Engineering Project Leaders and High Level Corporate Managers.

-          Excellent attention to detail and follow-up.

-          Excellent verbal skills for presentations and written skills for email communication outside the U.S.

-          Must be self-directed, highly motivated and able to simultaneously handle projects in various stages of completion.

-          Job involves cold calling as well as supporting existing relationships.

-          About 25% travel in the U.S. and overseas.

-          Technical degree is helpful, but not required.

-          Language skills helpful, but not required

-          International sales experience helpful, but not required.
