Armature Winding & Rotation Stands

CAM offers more than a dozen stands for armature support and rotation during winding operations. They are robustly constructed using steel weldments and cast iron support standards. Some stands have wheels for portability and others are designed for stationary support. Maximum weigh capacity ranges from 1000 lbs. (453.6 kg) up to 9,000 lbs. (4082.4 kg).

Rotation Brake Options
There are two methods of preventing unwanted armature rotation. Lockable Roller Brakes or Over-the-Top Clamping are standard features on some stands and can be incorporated into most stands as an optional accessory.

Custom Stands
Custom designed stands can be produced for armatures exceeding the capacity of our standard stand models. Tell us about your custom need and our engineers will work with you to design an appropriate and safe support device.

Motor Driven Stands
CAM’s motor driven armature rotation stands are designed to cover a wide range of armatures. The armature is supported on non-conductive rollers and can be used for electrical testing or armature winding. Rollers controlled by a portable footswitch
are driven at one end of the stand at a slow speed. Please consult with our sales representative for additional information on motor driven stands and custom options.
